Business owners and managers might consider taking continuing education courses that pertain knowing how to run a marketing campaign. These classes may be conducted by professional industry associations as well as through local community colleges and universities.

Businesses should focus on marketing from a "scientific" aspect, as well as a "artistic" aspect of luring in new customers. Of course, marketing is very much about visual and aesthetic appeal, but there is also a numbers side that many people may neglect in reference to this critical business process. For example, businesses may need to perform statistical calculations on a particular marketing campaign, determining how many people might respond to an advertisement.
